I am Tanteneya Harpe. Macon-Bibb Native & Resident. Christian. Wife. Mom. Non-profit Director. Entrepreneur. Southwest High School Alumni. Valdosta State University Alumni. University of Phoenix Alumni. Leadership Macon Alumni Class of 2023. Urban CEO Cohort 8.
The passion I have for helping others has led me to become a natural advocate for quality service to individuals and families. Water plays an integral role in our health. Our bodies cannot function without it. We all have a right to high-quality water, sewage, and storm water services.
It is the responsibility of the Macon Water Authority to provide healthy drinking water, to collect and treat wastewater for reuse, to monitor and maintain the sewer infrastructure, and to protect the environment from sewage overflows and spills. As a board member, I will play an integral role in ensuring this happens.
Stormwater management plays a vital role as well. Despite county funding helping to meet infrastructure needs, our communities' growing need for stormwater management has exceeded available resources. The management of stormwater is a key concern in our community that needs addressing.
We greatly appreciate any contributions made to support this campaign.
